Overview

Writing for Understanding is a powerful approach for teaching all students to write clearly and thoughtfully. The 2016 Summer Institute has been re-designed to give all educators – teachers, principals, coaches, curriculum leaders – the ESSENTIAL tools they need to bring effective writing instruction into their classrooms, schools, and districts. Through large group meetings, personalized instruction, and grade level breakout sessions, participants will dive into a range of hands-on materials designed to be used for “ready to use” lessons, for professional development, and for curriculum and lesson planning.
